An online medicinal cannabis prescriber made a mistake. The company wrongly said its products were approved by Australia's medicines regulator, the TGA.
The company removed the false claim from its website. The company says it will only think about notifying clients of the change.
In reality, more than 99 percent of medicinal cannabis products in Australia have not been assessed by the TGA. Only two cannabis medicines are officially approved: Epidyolex for epilepsy and Sativex for multiple sclerosis.
The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners called for changes to how medicinal cannabis is prescribed and regulated.
