Dom Young returns to Knights for NRL grand final
Young scored 23 tries after returning to Newcastle, now facing his former Roosters side in the grand final.
The English winger left Newcastle in 2024 after lighting up the NRL with 25 tries in 2023. At the Roosters he started strong with 20 tries in his first season but struggled badly in 2025, playing only 31 matches before being granted an early exit.
He's since rejoined the Knights and is thriving again. Young says he learned from his Sydney stint but never doubted himself.
The style of play at Newcastle, especially playing alongside Dane Gagai, brings out his best. He faces his former teammate Daniel Tupou in Sunday's final.
