Sam Wood stood down after domestic violence charges
Reality TV star Sam Wood has been charged with domestic assault and removed from his fitness business.
Queensland Police charged the 46-year-old on Saturday after being called to an address in Noosa. Sam Wood faces charges of assault causing bodily harm and strangulation in a domestic setting.
Wood did not appear in court on Monday. Wood remained behind bars pending a bail application on Thursday.
Sam Wood's parent company DBG Health announced he is on indefinite leave from 28 by Sam Wood. This is the online fitness platform he founded.
Mark Watkins is the group's Chief Operating Officer. He will lead the business in his absence.
Wood and his wife Snezana posted a statement. They are working through a difficult time and cooperating with authorities.
Wood rose to prominence on The Bachelor in 2015. He sold 28 by Sam Wood in 2022 for $71 million.
