Jesse Hogan to join Collingwood in early trade deal with Giants
Collingwood and Greater Western Sydney have agreed to trade Coleman medallist Jesse Hogan before the formal trade period begins on 5 October.
Collingwood and Greater Western Sydney have reached an agreement to trade Jesse Hogan to the Magpies, with the deal expected to be finalised early in the October trade window. Hogan, who kicked 77 goals in 2024 when he won the Coleman Medal, will join his fourth AFL club.
The Magpies will use their fourth-round selection No.70 to secure the trade, getting a deal done before the formal trade period opens next Monday. An early agreement means Hogan avoids waiting for the delisted free agency window and can start training with Collingwood immediately.
The Magpies hold three fourth-round selections , No.61, 63 and 70 , with No.70 tied to Sydney's position.
