Philippine police find abuse material on Thomas Markle's devices

Police found child sexual abuse material on a mobile phone and three memory cards. These were handed over during an investigation.

Philippine police say they found child sexual abuse material on devices owned by 82-year-old Thomas Markle. A mobile phone and three memory cards were reportedly handed over as part of an ongoing investigation.

Last week authorities found a laptop with images of abuse at a property believed to be his former home. Police chief Jose Melencio Nartatez Jnr said the investigation was getting stronger.

Officers in Mexico raided a storage unit rented by Markle. They seized a computer, thumb drives, VHS tapes and a stack of magazines.

No charges have been laid. Legal experts say his reported dementia diagnosis may make any interview harder.
