Youth detention HR manager charged with more than $100k fraud
A 34-year-old HR manager at a Youth Justice detention centre was charged with dishonestly getting over $100,000 from Queensland.
Tina Louise Fleming worked as an HR manager at the Wacol Youth Remand Centre and West Moreton Youth Detention Centre. Fleming was arrested on August 16 and charged with one count of fraud.
Police say she got Australian currency from the Queensland government in a dishonest way between January and August 2026. Fleming is 34 years old and from Upper Coomera.
She faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in jail. Fleming is currently on bail.
She appeared in Southport Magistrates Court with a second court date set for Tuesday. The Department of Youth Justice would not comment on the case, citing ongoing court proceedings.
Fleming is no longer an employee of the department.
