Car flips on M1 after tyre blowout, woman hospitalised

A woman in her 20s was hospitalised with minor injuries after her car flipped on the M1 when a tyre blew.

A car rolled over on the M1 Princes Motorway at Helensburgh on Thursday morning after one of its tyres blew out. The incident happened around 9:45am and emergency services rushed to the scene.

Paramedics treated a woman in her 20s and took her to Wollongong hospital with minor injuries. Tyre failures on high-speed roads can leave drivers little time to react.

The circumstances show the risk of sudden mechanical failure during travel.
