Canberra transport app tells travellers to walk 47 minutes for 1km
Transport app gave false information including a 47-minute walk instruction for the final kilometre of a bus journey.
The Public Transport Association released a report. The association said the city's transport agency fails passengers.
The MyWay+ app is designed to plan journeys but sometimes gives wrong information. In one case, it told a traveller the R3 bus stops short of the airport.
They would need to walk 47 minutes for the final kilometre. The report also found the transport information centre in Civic needs more staff.
It gives wrong advice. Staff have other duties and aren't always available to help.
Transport Canberra said many issues are already being fixed, including website improvements and better ways to tell people about service changes.
