The Mix 106.3 breakfast show has reclaimed top spot in Canberra radio ratings after co-host Nigel "Nige" Johnson returned from a stroke he suffered in early June. Johnson spent three months off-air recovering.
Kristen Davidson kept the show on-air during his absence with producer Haylee Potts and newsreader Kate Rice. Johnson now broadcasts one hour each weekday morning from a home studio.
Davidson was emotional when she heard the news Wednesday, moved by community support more than the numbers. Mix 106.3's breakfast show scored 20 percentage points, well ahead of rivals.
Both hosts are now on break, returning after the October long weekend.
