Porsche wheel bolts may fracture: 77 of 2024 sports cars recalled

Centre-lock wheel nuts may fracture, risking wheel detachment while the vehicle is moving.

Porsche Cars Australia is recalling 77 examples of its 2024 sports cars due to faulty wheel centre-lock nuts. The nuts may fracture, causing wheels to loosen and detach while the vehicle is moving.

Affected models include the 911 Carrera GTS, GT3, GT3 RS, S/T, Turbo and Turbo S, plus the 718 Cayman GT4 RS and Spyder RS. A detached wheel could cause loss of control and increase the risk of a crash causing injury or death.

Owners will be contacted by Porsche to arrange free repair appointments at authorised Porsche Centre. The 911 was previously recalled in March 2025 for a seatbelt issue affecting 11 vehicles from 2023.
