Denza Z9 GT delayed to 2027 as BYD refocuses product launches
BYD's premium electric sports wagon pushed back from Q3 2026 to first half of 2027.
Denza has pushed the Z9 GT launch from its originally planned Q3 2026 to the first half of 2027. The premium brand says it is juggling multiple product launches across both BYD and Denza lineups.
"We don't want to launch for the sake of meeting a date," a Denza spokesman said, calling it an important brand builder. The Z9 GT is a high-performance electric shooting brake with 850kW total system output and a claimed 1036km range.
It will have rapid 0-100km/h acceleration in 2.7 seconds and support BYD's new Flash ultra-fast chargers. The car features a tri-motor all-wheel drive setup and BYD's Blade Battery 2.0 technology.
