Lotus Elise recalled over fuel pump defect
Lotus Australia recalled 114 Elise models from 2014 to 2021 due to a fuel pump defect that could cause sudden engine stall.
A faulty fuel pump impeller in the Lotus Elise may become deformed, stopping the pump from working and causing the engine to stall without warning. A sudden loss of power while driving poses a serious accident risk to occupants and other road users.
The recall affects 114 examples of the Lotus Elise made between 2014 and 2021. Owners will be contacted by their Lotus dealer to arrange a free repair.
