Phizz electrolyte tablets finally arrive on Australian Woolworths shelves
Phizz electrolyte tablet, created by Melbourne entrepreneurs, launches in Woolworths stores Monday after a decade in the UK.
Phizz, an electrolyte tablet mixed with water to support hydration, was created 11 years ago by Australian entrepreneur Daniel Cray and two flatmates in Melbourne. With British neuroscientist Paul Anastasiades, they launched the product in 2015 based in the UK, not Australia, because the co-founders relocated there to develop it.
After a decade of success overseas, Cray decided to bring Phizz home. The breakthrough came at a wedding in 2024 when Cray met a Woolworths merchandising manager by chance.
That conversation led to a deal with Woolworths, and now selected Phizz products are coming to Australian stores and Woolies online from Monday. Cray says the process involved strict testing for the Australian market.
