Pro-Palestinian rallies across Australia call for end to arms trade with Israel

Hundreds of pro-Palestinian supporters gathered in Australian cities to mark Global Day for Gaza. They are demanding the government stop selling weapons to Israel.

Pro-Palestinian protesters marched across Australia. They carried flags and signs calling for peace in Gaza and the West Bank.

In Hobart, hundreds marched along the waterfront to Tasmania's parliament. Speakers including Nala Mansell and Feras Shaheen urged action to end the conflict.

According to the Gaza health ministry, more than 74,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza. More than 175,000 have been injured.

The UN estimates 1.9 million people have been displaced.
