Renascor achieves battery-grade graphite at demo plant
Renascor Resources produced battery-grade purified spherical graphite at 99.97% purity in its Adelaide demo plant, validating its manufacturing process at scale.
Adelaide-based Renascor Resources has successfully produced battery-grade graphite at its test plant in South Australia. This is a key step toward commercial production.
The company achieved 99.97% carbon purity using its purification process. This process does not use hydrofluoric acid.
It moves beyond lab testing to prove the technology works at larger scale. Managing director David Christensen said the milestone validates their ability to scale up the process safely and efficiently.
The company is now running batch trials with graphite from its wholly owned Siviour deposit. It plans multi-tonne continuous trials this quarter.
Renascor has secured a conditionally approved $185 million government loan to develop the Siviour project.
