Mathis Albert becomes USMNT's youngest scorer in 4-2 win over Chile
The US men's national team defeated Chile 4-2 with 17-year-old Mathis Albert becoming the youngest player ever to score for the USMNT.
Playing in St Louis, the USMNT overwhelmed 49th-ranked Chile with goals from Sebastian Berhalter, Julian Hall, Chris Richards and Albert. Albert's stoppage-time goal made history, he's now the youngest player ever to score for the US men's team.
Hall also set a record as the youngest US men's player to score in each of his first two games. Berhalter had an excellent night, scoring one goal and assisting on Richards' winner from a corner.
The match grew heated as two scuffles erupted between the teams after the final whistle. Coach Mauricio Pochettino made ten changes from the USMNT's 4-1 demolition of Peru three days earlier.
