Greene backs Cameron to reclaim best-player form at Geelong
Toby Greene joined Geelong and says teammate Jeremy Cameron will recover from injury to play at his elite best.
Toby Greene, who moved to Geelong as an unrestricted free agent, is confident Jeremy Cameron will return to his peak form after off-season arm surgery. Cameron broke his arm in last year's Grand Final loss and struggled this season as a result.
"Two years ago he was the best forward in the comp, the best player in the comp, just about," Greene said. "He'll be dangerous next year, I'm sure."
Greene and Cameron previously played together at Greater Western Sydney. Along with Greene, Geelong also recruited Rowan Marshall and Jordan Ridley as they pursue another premiership.
Greene, 33, said the move was driven mainly by family but also the chance to compete at the end of his career.
