Coalition leads Labor 56, 44 in final week of Victorian election
Roy Morgan poll of 3,600 Victorians shows Coalition leading Labor 56-44 on two-party preferred basis.
A Roy Morgan poll conducted Oct 26-29 surveyed 3,600 Victorians and found the Coalition on 29.5 per cent, Labor on 22.5 per cent, and One Nation on 22 per cent. On a two-party preferred basis, the standard measure for Australian elections, the Coalition leads 56-44.
The Victorian state election is Nov 28. The Coalition would likely win enough seats to form a majority government and unseat Premier Ben Carroll.
One Nation's support briefly rose after their Melbourne campaign launch on Oct 3 but has since fallen back. On a three-party preferred count (which adds Greens and independent preferences), Labor leads 43-33-24, largely because Greens and independents tend to preference Labor ahead of the Coalition.
