Ravenswood council defers 295-home lifestyle village decision
A planned lifestyle village for over-50s in Ravenswood was delayed until October. Strong community opposition led to the delay.

The village would have up to 295 homes. They would spread across 11 hectares of a 33.5-hectare site.
The Shire of Murray council voted 7-1 to delay the decision. They will decide again in October.
Many people showed up to object. Residents worried about traffic and riverside access.
They also feared that fast construction methods would hurt nearby property values. Aspen Group said the village would cause less traffic than normal housing.
The company also said it would provide homes for older residents who need them.
