Lachie Cowan set for two-match AFL ban after hospital incident
Lachie Cowan faces a two-match ban after hospital treatment at a party where drugs were allegedly present.
Cowan, 21, was taken to hospital early Sunday after suffering a seizure at Hayward's house in South Yarra. Paramedics treated him at the house before he was transported to the Alfred Hospital and later discharged.
Hayward also went to hospital after cutting his head in the shower. The AFL and Carlton have been investigating alleged drug use at the party.
Hayward has denied any drug use and is expected to play in Carlton's 2027 season opener. The two-match ban given to Cowan follows recent suspensions for Bailey Smith, Jack Ginnivan and Elijah Hollands.
Both players remain on leave from the club and are due back for pre-season training next month.
