Tommy Novak reaches The Voice Australia quarterfinals
South Coast musician Tommy Novak survived The Voice knockout stage with an emotional cover of All By Myself, earning a quarterfinal spot.
Tommy Novak performed an emotional rendition of All By Myself by Eric Carmen to reach the quarterfinals on The Voice Australia. Coach Richard Marx gave him the powerful ballad, a song famous through Celine Dion's version, and asked him to strip it back to its roots.
Novak, from the South Coast, has been winning hearts on the show for weeks. Tommy Novak also released his debut EP Parallels in July, which he wrote after a separation.
The timing feels serendipitous, Novak said, having both the show and the EP launch happen close together. He plans a viewing party in Sydney on Sunday and then heads home to Batemans Bay for a show on September 18.
While there, he wants to visit his old school, Carroll College at Broulee, to encourage young musicians.
