Story one of ten today, about five minutes for the lot

Olivia Cooke. Close-up portrait of a woman with long dark brown hair parted in the middle, giving a slight closed-mouth smile, wearing a black strapless top against a dark background.

House of the Dragon star Olivia Cooke returns to Slow Horses as Sid Baker

Cooke, cast in early 2021, assumed Slow Horses would be a one-off role.

Sid Baker was shot in the head early in season one, which aired in 2022. At the time she was working a case with River Cartwright, played by Jack Lowden.

Later it emerged that Sid was not dead. Sid had just been put into an induced coma.

In the second episode of season six, Sid reappears and lures River to a safe house. When Olivia Cooke was cast in early 2021, she assumed Slow Horses would be a one-off role.

Cooke was busy, as she had a lead role as Queen Alicent Hightower in HBO's House of the Dragon. Cooke says the season six shoot was done within five weeks, with many all-night filming sessions.

Why it mattersFans who thought Sid was gone for good can now watch her return in season six.
