Sebastian Duarte re-signs with Wollongong Wolves despite Marconi move
The 20-year-old left-back has committed to Wollongong for 2027 after turning down lucrative offers, including from high-flying Marconi Stallions.
Sebastian Duarte just finished a strong NSW NPL season with Wollongong Wolves, winning player of the year and players' player of the year. Duarte also earned a call-up to the Olyroos squad for Olympics preparation ahead of LA 2028.
Several clubs tried to recruit him, including high-flying Marconi Stallions, but Duarte chose to stay. Duarte cited trust in the club, good coaching, and his teammates as key reasons.
Duarte hopes the Wolves will help him reach the A-League, pointing to past players Solsky and Russell who made that leap.
