Petrol station reopening glitch gives drivers free upgrade to premium fuel
APCO's reopened station sold premium unleaded 95 at the cheaper 91-price when its standard pumps failed on opening day.
Kangaroo Flat's renovated APCO petrol station reopened on Wednesday with a bonus for early customers. The unleaded 91 pumps weren't working, so management sold unleaded 95 fuel at the cheaper 91 price instead.
The station now has twice as many pumps as before and a new 24-hour Anderson's Supermarket with drive-through. The outlet closed on April 7 for upgrades.
APCO runs nearly 30 stations across Victoria and aims to ease congestion that plagued the busy Kangaroo Flat location.
