Alyce Parker returns stronger after foot fracture sidelined her 2025 season
Greater Western Sydney midfielder Alyce Parker has returned from a foot fracture with one of the strongest seasons of her career.
Alyce Parker would not have said it during her four-month rehab, but a year on from a foot fracture that ended her 2025 season after just one game, she now sees the injury as a gift. Through ten games in 2026, she is averaging 24.4 disposals, 5.4 tackles and 6.4 clearances.
Her sideline time alongside the coaching staff taught her midfield craft and on-field leadership that she is now bringing onto the field. From the coaching box, Parker learned to read rucks and help teammates rather than just accumulating possessions.
She has also become a more dangerous forward, with three goals against Hawthorn marking her third multi-goal game this season.
