Man arrested after police pursuits with baby in car
A 38-year-old Canberra man was arrested after leading police on multiple pursuits over three days while carrying a baby in his vehicle.
A Kaleen man has been arrested after allegedly evading police three times between September 5 and 8. On September 6, police chased his blue Kia Cerato after he failed to stop.
The driver drove against traffic on Parkes Way. Officers stopped the chase when they found a baby was in the car.
The driver was spotted again in Whitlam on September 8, allegedly driving on footpaths and the wrong side of the road. Police arrested him on September 29 at a house in O'Connor.
He faces five charges: two for failing to stop, two for driving while suspended, and one for dangerous driving.
