A body was discovered in bushland near Kittyhawk Dr in Chermside on Sunday during a police investigation into Friday night's dog attack on local real estate agent Ajay Malik. The 48-year-old man died on Friday, the same day Malik was mauled by two dogs in the area and rushed to hospital with injuries to his face and both arms.
Police say they cannot rule out the same two dogs were involved in the man's death. Forensic testing is underway to determine how he died.
Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham said officers cannot yet confirm whether the dogs contributed to his death or had contact with him after he died. The man was a regular rough sleeper in the area.
