Beau Lamarre-Condon asked about murder tactics before alleged double killing
Court heard the accused cop asked a colleague about murder cases the night before he allegedly killed Jesse Baird and Luke Davies.
Beau Lamarre-Condon appeared in Sydney's Supreme Court on Friday. He is on trial for allegedly murdering Jesse Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29, on February 19, 2024.
A former police officer told the court that Lamarre-Condon asked him about high-profile murder cases the night before. The colleague was working on the murder of Lilie James.
She was killed by her ex-boyfriend Paul Thijssen in October 2023. Lamarre-Condon called Thijssen "stupid for doing it on CCTV".
Lamarre-Condon asked whether Thijssen would have escaped if there had been no camera footage. He also asked about police tracking methods, cash, and phone data.
The day after this conversation, Lamarre-Condon allegedly dressed as an UberEats driver. He entered his ex-partner's home, where both men were fatally shot.
