Amy Shark leads all-star lineup for NRL grand final tribute to Jai Arrow
Amy Shark and Australian rock and pop acts will perform at Sunday's NRL grand final to honour South Sydney player Jai Arrow.
Amy Shark is heading a supergroup of Australian musicians for this weekend's NRL grand final pre-game show. The Screaming Jets, Peking Duk, Grinspoon and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers will join her at Stadium Australia.
The musicians will perform cover songs as a tribute to Rabbitohs star Jai Arrow, who was diagnosed with motor neurone disease and left the NRL this year. Every musician's appearance fee is reportedly being donated to motor neurone disease causes.
The NRL tried to secure Tones and I for the show. Scheduling conflicts made the deal fall through.
The league is spending close to $1 million on the 11-minute performance.
