Full Throttle Ranch cuts to Saturdays only as trade collapses
The newly renovated restaurant and music venue cuts Friday and Sunday trading because hardly anyone comes.
Full Throttle Ranch, which reopened in July after a five-year renovation of the former Buttai Barn property, announced Wednesday it would trade Saturdays and special events only. Owner Mick Tyrrell said the numbers could not hold.
Mick Tyrrell loses money on Fridays and Sundays even when the venue is open. Ticketed events like live music and burlesque shows continue.
Tyrrell spent years transforming the Hunter Valley property and hopes to reopen on Fridays and Sundays if business improves. The pullback is a sharp downgrade from plans announced last year.
