Ginninderry targets entry-level buyers with 415 compact homes
Macnamara North will deliver 415 compact dwellings on blocks of 130 to 550 square metres for first-time buyers.
Ginninderry has submitted a development application for Macnamara North, the fourth neighbourhood in the expanding Canberra development. The application proposes 186 single dwelling blocks and 32 multi-unit blocks, for 415 total dwellings.
Block sizes will range from 130 to 550 square metres, focusing on compact homes for entry-level buyers. The development includes tried and tested house types already built elsewhere in Ginninderry.
These include Flexi Living homes, terraces, and slope terraces. Flexi Living lets buyers get a single-title compact dwelling with private parking.
Otherwise they might only be able to buy multi-unit housing. Construction is expected to start in the first quarter of 2027.
