Rejected lamb finds home in NSW classroom
Sam, rejected by his mother after birth at Uralla Central School, is now cared for by teachers and students in the classroom.
Sam was born on the school's agricultural farm on Sunday but his mother abandoned him for his twin, leaving the newborn alone and crying in the paddock. Teachers discovered him and brought him inside to care for him by hand.
Now the whole school, from kindy to Year 12, feeds him formula, cuddles him, and watches him follow students around, wanting to be with them. Sam's calm personality has won hearts across the campus.
Sam sleeps on students' laps and seems to thrive on the attention. The school plans to reintroduce him to the flock over coming weeks so he can join the agricultural program.
