Darragh Joyce joins North Melbourne after Brisbane exit
The 30-year-old defender will join the Kangaroos after playing just 14 games for Brisbane over four seasons.
North Melbourne will sign Darragh Joyce, a defender who was let go by Brisbane after limited opportunities at the club. Joyce managed just 14 games across the past four seasons with the Lions, despite being among their best 26 players.
Joyce began his AFL career at St Kilda in 2017, playing 13 games before moving to Brisbane at the end of 2022. The 30-year-old will now get a fresh start at North Melbourne, where the Kangaroos' defence has struggled.
North had tried to trade for Adelaide's Nick Murray during the recent trade period but were unsuccessful. The club also recently signed Swans star Nick Blakey as they embark on a new era under rookie coach Jaymie Graham.
