Police car hits 14-year-old on e-bike in kindergarten carpark

Victoria Police are investigating after a marked police car collided with a teenager on an e-bike in a Geelong kindergarten carpark.

The incident happened about 5:15pm on Wednesday near Waverley Rd in Lara, southwest of Melbourne. Police said they observed three teenagers on e-bikes riding erratically and putting themselves and the public at risk.

When the group failed to stop, they rode into the carpark, where the collision occurred. The teenager was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Several commenters claiming to know the boy said he was just 14 years old. Police are still working to identify the other two teenagers involved.
