Grocer ends Cliff Road's 12-year retail drought
Cliff Fresh Market opened October 23 on a site that sat empty since 2015. It brings grocery access back to the Illawarra beachside street.
A grocery shop finally opened on Cliff Road. It had sat empty for more than a decade.
Cliff Fresh Market is owned by Azeem Mudasir. It opens Friday with fresh fruit, vegetables, and organic coffee.
Locals had to travel to nearby Woolies, Coles, or shops in Corrimal for basic groceries. Mudasir said residents were shocked someone was actually opening in the spot.
It had been closed since 2015. The shop opens at 6:30am.
It sits just opposite the beach. It will stock fresh bread daily from a local bakery.
Selected items will have 50 per cent off this opening weekend.
