Apple launches smart home push with hub, updated HomePod mini
Apple announces a new smart-home hub (J490), HomePod mini update, and fresh TV set-top box on October 13.
Apple is finally making its move into the smart-home market, a category the company has circled for years. Chief Executive John Ternus will lead the announcement on October 13.
At the centre is a new smart-home hub called J490. The company will also show the first HomePod mini update since 2020 and the first new TV set-top box since 2022.
