21-year-old found dead in Melbourne apartment, investigation continues

A 21-year-old woman named Jayda Allen was found dead inside an apartment in Carlton early Saturday morning. Emergency services were called to the building on Cardigan St around 1.45am.
A 60-year-old man was arrested nearby. The man was later released while investigators continued their work.
Police told the family that Jayda had been beaten to death. Police are still working to figure out what happened.
