Sam Morris quit her law firm job after burnout and now runs a Box Divvy hub
Sam resigned in April, took five months off, and was diagnosed with PTSD.
Sam Morris, of Mayfield, had worked at a national law firm's Newcastle office for about a decade. As she approached 40, she had a midlife crisis that led to major changes in her life.
Sam realised she was suffering from burnout, with symptoms such as exhaustion, lack of sleep and anxiety. Sam resigned in April and took five months off, going through a dark period of isolation while recovering.
Sam was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and has started treatment for perimenopause, the years before menopause. Sam's family chose to focus less on money and more on purpose, community and connection.
Ms Morris now helps members with ordering at a Box Divvy hub in Hamilton North. Box Divvy is a social enterprise that connects people directly with farmers.
