Bendigo Dragons bring gridiron to agricultural show for first time
The Bendigo Dragons American Football Club debuts at the Bendigo Agricultural Show on Saturday.
The Bendigo Dragons American Football Club is making its debut at the Bendigo Agricultural Show on Saturday afternoon. Club vice-president Jesse Anstee said it's a huge chance to introduce gridiron to the wider community.
The opportunity came during the club's bye week in their regular season. Anstee said they couldn't pass up a major platform at such a significant local event to reach new potential fans and players.
The show itself has reopened this year after a $19 million upgrade of the showgrounds. Alongside gridiron, the show features dinosaur displays, racing pigs, medieval combat, a large Ferris wheel, and rides for all ages.
