One Nation fields first Benambra candidate for Victoria election
One Nation announced journalist Kellie Sheppard as its first candidate for Benambra. The seat is traditionally safe for the Liberal Party.
One Nation named Kellie Sheppard as its candidate for Benambra on Wednesday in the party's first run at the seat in November's Victorian state election. Sheppard is a former freelance journalist and small business owner who runs a hobby farm near Osbornes Flat with five children.
Kellie Sheppard has contributed to regional publications and is described as an advocate for young people, health and regional resources. Two other potential One Nation candidates from the Wodonga area turned down the role first.
One Nation has committed to running candidates in every Victorian electoral division.
