Carrie Graf departs as University of Canberra director of sport role goes unfilled
Basketball legend Carrie Graf leaves her director of sport role. The university will not fill the position again.
Graf spent 15 seasons leading the Canberra Capitals. She guided the club to six of the WNBL's nine championships.
Carrie Graf also led the Australian Opals to Olympic bronze in 2012. Graf stepped back from coaching a decade ago.
She wanted to spend time with her twins, Charli and Bentley. Graf then served as University of Canberra's director of sport for eight years.
She oversaw the Capitals program during that time. The university has confirmed the role will not be filled after she leaves.
Coach Paul Goriss now leads the team on court. General manager Christy Collier-Hill handles the front office.
