Colin Farrell opens home to camera for first time in new documentary
The Irish actor, 50, appears with his son James in a film exploring disability, friendship and the Dublin Marathon, released November 25.
Colin Farrell has rarely let filmmakers into his private life, but a new film breaks that pattern. The Slightest Touch follows Farrell and disability rights activist Emma Fogarty as they train for the Dublin Marathon.
The film documents his experience as a father to James, 23, who has Angelman syndrome. The rare genetic condition affects speech, movement, balance and development, and requires lifelong support.
In the film's trailer, Farrell jokes that his son "gets away with nothing". He is seen hugging James in a warm family moment.
Farrell started the Colin Farrell Foundation in 2024 to help people with intellectual disabilities. He has spoken about his worry that young adults lose structured help once they turn 21.
