Teen in ICU after hit-run driver leaves him in middle of Brisbane road
Rylie Grady, 16, was struck by two vehicles on Old Cleveland Rd; a dark SUV fled and he remains in ICU.
Rylie Grady, 16, is recovering in Princess Alexandra Hospital's intensive care unit after being hit by two cars on Old Cleveland Rd in Belmont on Saturday night. Rylie was struck shortly before 9:45pm and admitted in life-threatening condition.
Rylie has had multiple surgeries and is now stable. The first vehicle, a dark SUV, left the scene before emergency services arrived.
The driver of the second car, a 19-year-old from Zillmere, stayed at the scene. His family, mum Jazmine, dad Paul and brother Hunter, are staying close as he recovers.
A GoFundMe has been set up to cover time away from work, travel to hospital, rehabilitation and household costs. Police are appealing for anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage.
