Three riders robbed in coordinated bike theft spree in Melbourne
A woman was tasered and punched at traffic lights; two other riders were also robbed the same night in West Footscray.
A gang attacked three motorcycle riders across Melbourne's west on September 19 in what police say was a coordinated spree. Emma, 27, was surrounded at traffic lights in West Footscray while riding to watch a movie.
The group repeatedly punched her head and tasered her arms and back, leaving her with burn marks, bruises and a fractured rib before stealing her bike. A 40-year-old man was robbed of his motorcycle earlier that night on Napier St; his bike was found burnt out an hour later.
Ten minutes after Emma's attack, the same group approached a 32-year-old on Sunshine Rd, hit him with a wrench and fled with his scooter. Police are appealing for information to find the offenders.
