Cooper Connolly took a stunning one-handed catch on the first ball of Australia's second ODI against South Africa in Johannesburg.
Cooper Connolly announced himself on Australia's ODI tour with a stunning one-handed catch on the first delivery of the second match against South Africa at The Wanderers. Josh Hazlewood bowled a good-length delivery outside off-stump, and Aiden Markram attempted a cut shot towards point.
Connolly leaped high to take the catch and send Markram packing. Shaun Pollock on Fox Cricket's coverage called it wonderful.
He compared Connolly's fielding to Michael Clarke. Quinton de Kock followed soon after, caught behind off Hazlewood for 15.
Temba Bavuma later reached a century for South Africa off 112 balls.
