Forward Mia Austin did the damage early, kicking all three of her goals before half-time and finishing with 15 disposals and seven marks. Melbourne's ball movement and efficiency separated the sides in the first half, posting 26 uncontested marks to Collingwood's 11.
The Demons' class extended through the contest to seal the 6.6 (42) to 2.9 (21) result.
