Gold Coast father wins $8m Oz Lotto on his birthday

A Gold Coast father won $8 million in Tuesday's Oz Lotto draw on his birthday.

The Main Beach dad was the only division one winner nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1699. The Gold Coast man told The Lott he needed a cold drink to soothe his dry throat.

The father, who has been managing health issues, said the windfall arrives at exactly the right time for his family. The father plans to buy champagne to celebrate both his birthday and the massive win with his wife, whom he takes out to dinner every Saturday.
