Tom Green signs two-year Giants extension
Tom Green has signed a two-year extension keeping him at GWS through 2029.
The 25-year-old star player rejected interest from rivals to commit to the Giants. Tom Green was out of contract at the end of 2027 and now has locked in two more years.
Green missed the entire 2026 season after rupturing his ACL in pre-season training but is expected back next year. Tom Green will likely be named captain, sole or joint, after Toby Greene left for Geelong.
In 2025, Green averaged 29.7 disposals, 8.5 clearances and 3.6 tackles, and won the club's best and fairest award. GWS chief executive David Matthews called the extension "a fantastic result" and "a profound moment" for the club.
