Erindale Leisure Centre in Canberra's south is getting $1.1 million. The money will update its gym with new equipment, flooring, lighting and paint.
Automatic doors will help all users get in and out. Almost $200,000 will go to smaller upgrades that members asked for.
The centre will host allied health professionals. These include physiotherapists, osteopaths and chiropractors.
Belgravia Leisure runs the facility and will hire the health staff directly. The upgrade was promised in ACT Labor's 2024 election campaign.
