The Bendigo cricket club has completed a recruiting campaign for the 2026-27 season aimed at climbing the ladder after two consecutive eighth-place finishes. Lucas Smith and Charlie Grant are two middle-order batsmen from the UK, signed to address what the club has identified as its main weakness in recent seasons.
The club has also retained Bailey Goodwin, who returns from the UK, and Kynan Gard, who has finished his police academy course. Goodwin took 23 wickets at an average of 25.87 in the 2024-25 season.
